The curfew is back in Quebec. Prime Minister François Legault made the announcement during his press briefing on December 30.
As indicated by the Prime Minister, people will have to be at home from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow without having the right to go out, except for certain emergencies, and to take a walk their dog. Fines given to offenders can range from $ 1,000 to $ 6,000.
The goal is to slow the spread of the particularly contagious Omicron variant. Quebec has exceeded 16,000 cases today.
Let us recall that Quebecers are already familiar with this extraordinary measure which was applied from January 8 to May 28.
Also from tomorrow, the dining rooms of restaurants will be closed.
It will no longer be possible to organize gatherings with people from other bubbles.
All schools will remain closed until January 17th.
< p> Places of worship will also be closed (except for funerals) and indoor sports prohibited.
It is also the return of the closure of businesses on Sundays.
