Scooters banned on pedestrianized Mont-Royal Avenue this summer
Pedestrianized Mont-Royal Avenue.
Scooters and similar power-assisted bicycles will be prohibited on pedestrianized Mont-Royal and Duluth avenues this summer. The elected officials of the Plateau Mont-Royal must adopt this evening at the borough council an ordinance prohibiting their passage.
“We worked together with the neighborhood station and our technical teams to find a way to train very clearly that scooters are prohibited on Mont-Royal Avenue during pedestrianization,” said Borough Mayor Luc Rabouin on Monday evening.
There will be a display announcing the new regulations, which will allow the police to intervene, he said. Bicycles will always be tolerated.
