Quebec police arrested a 32-year-old man suspected of shooting six convenience stores since the beginning of March.
E n run for eleven days, the suspect was finally arrested Wednesday in Quebec.
“The information received from the public following the dissemination of the images of the suspect have significantly contributed to advance the investigation,” said Cyndi Pare, spokesman of the Police Department of Quebec City (SPVQ).
Thanks to this information, investigators from the SPVQ’s Major Crime Unit were able to identify, locate and arrest the man.
The latter “was questioned and admitted to having perpetrated the six robberies committed between March 1 and 3, 2019,” said Ms. Paré.
A search of the suspect’s home also seized various objects related to robbery.
The man, who has no criminal record, is detained for the moment. He could appear Thursday at the courthouse in Quebec City.
