Samuel Duchaine Le Quotidien A serious accident left four injured on Tuesday evening on the trails of Saint-Jean-Vianney. A passenger was in critical condition, but there is no longer any fear for her life. Charges have been laid against the driver, including impaired driving.
The driver appeared from his hospital bed on Wednesday afternoon. In addition to the counts of impaired driving, he faces charges of accident causing injury, breach of contract and obstruction of police work. He will be back before the judge on Friday morning.
“We are awaiting further results from our investigation and other charges could be brought against the driver,” said the spokesperson for the Saguenay Police Department, Bruno Cormier.
