Soccer World Cup: the Blues eliminate England
The reigning world champions have not weakened. The France team qualified for the semi-finals of the world soccer championship this afternoon, after a high tension duel with England.
Les Bleus opened the scoring in the first half thanks to a powerful strike from Aurélien Tchouamini, who found Jordan Lee Pickford's net in the 17th minute of play.
Harry Kane kept the Three Lions in the game and equalized, scoring a penalty in the 54th minute.
It was finally Olivier Giroud, recently become the top scorer in the history of the French selection, who restored the advantage to the tricolors, with a decisive goal in the 78th minute.
The English missed the opportunity to recover by missing a penalty in the last ten minutes of the match.
