Teenager attacked with hammer on leaving class

A 16-year-old teenager was attacked by a group of young people with hammer at the exit of classes from Calixa-Lavallée high school, in Montreal North, late Monday afternoon, according to what Radio-Canada learned. The attackers are a group of young people, made up of five teenagers and a student from the school.
A social and community worker was deployed today with colleagues to support students, parents and staff and provide support to the staff of neighborhood station 39.
This violent attack began after a verbal argument between the teenager and another 14-year-old girl on the grounds of Calixa-Lavallée school. . The latter then gathered some of her friends to respond to the insults she suffered.
When the altercation took place, the teenager at the heart of the initial conflict fled, unlike a friend of his who came between him and the attackers and who ended up on the ground, receiving hammer blows several times. He is in stable condition and the doctors do not fear for his life.
SPVM investigators have found the hammer used during the attack and are able to identify the entire group of young people thanks to high school cameras.
