BROSSARD — The Montreal canadiens has submitted the defender Christian Folin in a runoff on Sunday.

The other 30 teams in the NHL have until noon Monday to claim it, otherwise the Habs could demote within the Rocket of Laval, in the american hockey League.

28-year-old, Folin has played in only five games with the Canadian this season and has amassed a help. Its last release dates back to 19 October.

The Canadian had sent in his club-school by November so that it keeps the shape. He has participated in seven parts, with the Rocket without blackening the score sheet.

Acquired from the Philadelphia Flyers in the company of Dale Weise on 9 February last, in return, Byron Froese and David Schlemko, Folin had signed a contract extension one season and US $800,000 on April 18.

In 233 games in the NHL with the Wild in Minnesota, the Los Angeles Kings, the Flyers and the canadiens, Folin has tallied seven goals and 36 assists.
