The Grand PoutineFest is back on tour

Le Grand PoutineFest goes back on tour

Steak, corn, potato? Hmm… Rather fries, sauce and skouik-skouik! Yes, PoutineFest will soon be back in a city near you on the occasion of its tour which will begin on April 27th and will end on September 17th.

This will be the perfect time to taste about twenty special poutines such as bang-bang shrimp, shish-taouk, duck confit or various vegan ingredients. In addition to enjoying yourself, you can take advantage of the sites, accessible free of charge, to entertain you.

Something new this year, in addition to serving poutines of all kinds, the sites will be animated by comedy shows on Thursdays (in all cities), dance shows (in Montreal, Quebec, Laval, Saint-Jean- sur-Richelieu and Granby), singers (in the metropolitan area) and 300 feet of inflatable games.

Because eating makes you thirsty, local microbrewery kiosks will also be there to let you taste their products. And because there is no savory without sweet, Mademoiselle Croquignole will serve funnel cakes and iced coffees.

For a good cause

The festival will donate part of its proceeds to Opération Enfant Soleil for a second consecutive year.

“This association allowed us to raise nearly $100,000 for the cause last year. We therefore want to continue our mission of leaving a positive mark at the provincial level. Partnering with Opération Enfant Soleil therefore makes it possible to give back to several hospitals across Quebec,” said Maude Couillard, general manager of FGM productions (owner of Grand PoutineFest), in a press release.

The event is also continuing its green shift, which began last year. Your poutines will therefore be served in reusable dishes (sold for $2) and all containers or accessories will be reusable, recyclable or compostable.

The festival will travel to a total of 21 cities across the province, as follows:
