It's time to put on your ice skates and set off Au bord du lac Tranquille in the Quartier des spectacles for a most enchanting session. Whales, narwhals, turtles, fish and shoals of plankton will come alive all winter on the illuminated surface of the skating rink on the Tranquille esplanade, moving with the courageous skates braving the cold. /p>
Presented as part of the 13th edition of Luminothérapie, this magical and innovative interactive experience, created jointly by Montreal companies Mirari and Normal Studio, transforms the skating rink into a luminous dreamlike lake, sometimes blue , sometimes multicolored, in which local marine ecosystems evolve.

The skaters, whose movements are detected by a state-of-the-art laser sensor system, therefore become the artists of the aquatic and winter universe metamorphosing under their blades.
The Quartier des Spectacles Partnership is proud to present for the first time Au bord du lac Tranquille, a work that includes a strong narrative and where the public lives a unique experience of interaction, whether they are participants or spectators. Thought up by creators who have at heart the celebration of our northernness, it invites you to explore the splendor of Quebec's territory and enjoy the joys of winter in the city through art.

A true ode to the Quebec cold, Au bord du lac Tranquille is broadcast free of charge twice a night all week and lasts 30 minutes.< /p>
