The largest T&T supermarket is coming to Montreal
The very first Quebec T&T will open its doors in Montreal, more precisely in Saint-Laurent.
A fan of unique and gourmet culinary finds? The largest Asian supermarket chain in Canada will set up its first and largest store in Montreal in mid-December. It's a date!
Created in 1993 in British Columbia by Cindy Lee, an immigrant of Taiwanese origin, and acquired by Loblaw in 2009, the chain already had 30 branches in Canada, but none in Quebec. It is therefore on December 15 that the very first T&T in Quebec will open its doors in Montreal, more precisely in Saint-Laurent, near highways 15 and 40.
“Since we announced our plans for Quebec, we have received many positive comments. I would like to thank all the customers who shared their enthusiasm with us and gave us suggestions for the location of our new store. These comments confirmed that the population of the greater Montreal area would come to visit us, hence the importance of having an easily accessible location, close to highways, “said the CEO of T&T , Tina Lee, in a press release.
Located in the premises of a former Loblaw (precisely), this very first Quebec T&T will also be the brand's largest branch to date, with a surface area of 6,500 square meters.
Along the rows are unique Asian snacks like red bean ice cream, shrimp cheek chips, and coconut, mango, lychee, or strawberry puddings. There will also be meat, seafood and all kinds of groceries.
Hot meals will also be available for self-service , such as spicy mapo tofu, sweet and sour pork and Sichuan fish fillet.
The opening of the Quebec branch was originally announced earlier in 2022, but was ultimately pushed back as the site was used as a COVID-19 vaccination site. For this first Montreal store, T&T plans to employ more than 300 people.
Address: 300, avenue Sainte-Croix, Montreal (Borough of Saint-Laurent)
