The Louis-Hippolyte La Fontaine tunnel closed during the weekend
The Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine bridge-tunnel will be closed.
Maintenance operations on Highway 25, including the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, will lead to its complete closure in the direction of the South Shore during the nights of Wednesday February 1 and Thursday February 2, informs the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable.
This closure will take place between exit 4 (downtown)/Pont J.-Cartier and the entrance from Île Charron between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. . The entrances leading to these sections of Highway 25 will be closed as of 8:30 p.m. in order to prepare for operations.
The Ministry of Transport specifies that this work could be postponed depending on weather conditions and invites motorists to consult regularly the state of the work to plan trips based on these closures. Services will also be offered to deal with road complications.
