The SPVM investigates a video showing an individual burning flags of Israel
Flags of the State of Israel hung at a school in the Dollard-des-Ormeaux sector were stolen yesterday by one or more suspects. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) is now investigating a video circulating on social networks in which “an individual sets fire to these flags”.
The SPVM’s Hate Incidents and Crimes Unit is leading the investigation into the event. He encourages anyone with information on this matter to contact neighborhood station 4 at 514 280-0104. It is also possible to file a report in complete confidentiality by contacting Info-Crime Montreal at 514 393-1133 or via infocrimemontreal.ca.
The State of Israel celebrated its 75th anniversary yesterday on Yom Ha'atzmauth. For four months, the country has been grappling with monster demonstrations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's reform of the justice system. Israel’s birthday festivities were no exception.
