Will Montrealers follow the World Cup in Qatar with great enthusiasm and assiduity? A few days before the start of the international tournament, Métro went to meet customers and merchants of the Jean-Talon Market, to take the pulse of the local enthusiasm for the competition.
To the question “are you going to follow the World Cup with interest this year?”, the answers vary from one shop to another: “yes of course” or “I wonder , it’s difficult with what we hear about Qatar.
Several Montrealers expressed their preferences in terms of national teams to encourage and also shared their predictions.
