Vieux-Longueuil: a 64-year-old man dies in a fire
The body of a lifeless man was extracted from a residence in Vieux-Longueuil this Sunday morning, at following a fire. The emergency services were alerted by several calls, around 7 a.m., reporting a fire starting in an apartment located on Leo Street.
When they arrived at the scene, the firefighters were able to s’ Break into the burning house, where they discovered an unconscious 64-year-old man.
The sexagenarian was subsequently transported to a hospital center where he was declared dead.
“An investigation has been opened to try to understand the exact circumstances of the start of the fire,” explains Jean-Pierre Voutsinos, spokesperson for the Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL ).
