Warning: recall of children’s bathrobes at risk of igniting

Every parent's number one nightmare? Let her child catch fire in her bathrobe! You should therefore immediately stop wearing the Joe Boxer children's fleece robes, throw them away or return them to the company for a refund, warns Health Canada.

The affected models are made of 100% polyester, and are available in five styles: Camo, Lightning, Girls Club, Girls Love and Bad to the Bone, from sizes small to extra large.

According to Health Canada, these robes violate flammability requirements of the Children's Sleepwear Regulations.

“If loose fitting, children's sleepwear may come into contact with a stove element, candle , a match or an ignition source. If ignited, they will burn rapidly and the child may suffer severe and extensive bodily burns,” reads the product recall notice.

But rest assured, As of January 28, 2022, no incidents or injuries have been reported to the company.
