We can now find out the status of elevators and escalators in the metro

Escalators at Lionel-Groulx station.

Users of the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) will be able to find out about the service status of escalators and elevators in the métro network. The STM made the announcement this Thursday through its social networks.

This service report is available on the website of the STM. For each metro station with an elevator and/or an escalator, a green check mark or a yellow exclamation point is displayed to indicate the status of these facilities.

At the time these lines were written, it was possible to see that at the Berri-UQAM station, the escalator giving access to Sainte-Catherine Street was out of service.

You will therefore have been warned the next time you go come up against a defective elevator in the metro and be forced to lug the small mid-century piece of furniture found on the side of the path to the top of the stairs.
