Weather: A cold snap is coming
Montrealers will have to wrap up well this week. The air will be particularly biting. A cold wave is about to sweep over the province and the metropolis will not be spared.
The mercury will gradually drop over the next few days and it’s the coldest next weekend. At their lowest, temperatures of -22 and -27 degrees Celsius are expected in Montreal for Friday and Saturday mornings respectively.
Environment Canada says extreme cold warnings will be issued to inform citizens and road users.
Major precipitation is not expected this week. However, the metropolis could receive up to ten centimeters of snow by Monday evening.
The rest of the week, the sky will be relatively clear and the sun fairly present, with the exception of Thursday and Sunday.
