Yannick Nézet-Séguin wins two Grammy awards
Montreal conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin won two Grammy awards tonight in Los Angeles at the Premiere Ceremony.
The musician, who conducts the Orchester métropolitain de Montréal but also the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Orchester de Philadephie has been awarded twice. A first time for Fire Shut Up In My Bones by Terence Blanchard, which was named best recording of an opera.
He was subsequently crowned Best Vocal Solo Album, with Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene, which he recorded with Renée Fleming.
