You'll never guess what game Geneviève Guilbault was playing at work

Quebec Deputy Premier and Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Geneviève Guilbault, spent the entire time of a supply study where she had to justify the expenses of her department playing at inserting singular words in her answers to questions from MPs. The aim of the game? Earn points for each unusual word, for example “winterization” or “sanctuarize”, with your colleagues.

“We had the objective of discovering certain words, using certain specific words, words that we're not used to using that, personally, I find beautiful,” she said by way of justification.

She actually took advantage of the ;opportunity to explain the meaning of certain words, such as “winterisation”: “This is a term that is used to designate trams, in particular, or heavy modes of transport that must be adapted to winter conditions in Nordic countries. »

She also specified, in a press conference, that she was playing this game “out of pure love of the French language” and apologized for having acted in this way, acknowledging that it was lack of judgment and that studying the credits was important to her.
